TO THE FIFTY pays homage to the 50 allied prisoners of war of the Great Escape who were executed by the Nazis.

Fascinated by the World War II movies, books and newspaper articles about Prisoners of War and how the majority kept their wits against strong odds, this work effort is an attempt to show, through data and other analyses, how those experiences drove men to survive while others failed. This project involves synthesizing over 200 first hand accounts from surviving POWs.

It is not intended to be a re-write of Victor E. Frankl's, "Man's Search for Meaning" and the larger discussion of Logotherapy, but a deep dive into the reasons why and how  these men forged on.
